FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Question: I am having troubles with using the application and filling the New property form.

Answer: Please watch the video tutorial made by one of the users for us. You will see how fast and simple it is to analyze the investment property:

Question: I need assistance recovering my username and password.

Answer: Send an email to info@realestateanalysisfree.com and ask for a new password. Make sure to send the email from the email address you used for registration. If you haven't used email in registration, send me the username, your full name, city and state you filled in the registration form. We will generate a new random password and send it to you. It is advisable to change it afterwards.

Question: I need a way to do some 'what if's, and edit the report, and see the results.

Answer: The best way how to check various "what if" scenarios is simply by first creating one report for the basic scenario and then creating new report from a template, with just changing one of the parameters. To do this, you have to be registered and logged in. Select the "New Property" button in the right menu and at the top of the page, you will see a drop-down select box with the names of the properties you have analyzed earlier. Select the basic scenario which you already analyzed and all the parameters (input fields) will be automatically filled in with the same values. Change the name of the property (i.e. Condo Terr Av - Scen.#2) and change the parameters you want to test in this scenario (such as changing the purchase price or financing). Then analayze the property. Once you will have a few scenarios created, you can navigate to the "Saved properties" and select (checkbox) the new scenarios and compare them, by clicking on the "Compare Properties" button. You will see all (unlimited) properties on one page.

Question: I have filled in the new property form, but it says I have problem with javascript.

Answer: If there is notification at the top of the page, about Javascript not being enabled, then it doesn't have sense to try filling in the report, because it can't generate anything. What browser do you use (Internet explorer, Firefox, Safari)? I would advice to try it in different browser as well. Also try to go to this website: http://www.isjavascriptenabled.com/ what does it say? If it says "NO" then there is some problem with enabling javascript in your browser definitely.

Question: The property report doesn't display charts.

Answer: Check your browser and version. There is a known issue in Internet Explorer 6 and 7, so if you are using those older versions, please upgrade to Internet Explorer 9. If you have troubles in other browsers, please email me, so I can correct the problem.
